³² King David said, “Summon Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, to me.” They came before the king. ³³ The king said to them, “Take your lord’s servants and put Solomon, my son, on my own donkey and bring him to Gihon. ³⁴ There, have Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him as king over Israel. Sound your trumpet and proclaim, ‘Long live, King Solomon.’
